Nessebar, 2012
acrylic, 100×70 cm

Nessebar is an 11,000-acre city located on the Black Sea itself. The city has been an architectural and archaeological reserve since 1956, and since 1983 the cultural monuments in the city have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old town of Nessebar is one of the most beautiful and famous attractions of the Bulgarian coast. Nessebar was founded more than 3,000 years ago and is considered one of the oldest in Europe.

The first time I was here was in 2012 for a conference, then a few years later on vacation. These narrow streets, temple ruins, original architecture and rich history delight me even more each time.
